We are changing the way this country views and values wildlife.

When a system is functionally undemocractic and unresponsive, we have to dismantle it and rebuild it from the ground up.

That means we have to change narratives and norms, show up in spaces, fill commission seats and appointments, develop legislative champions, and fight for changes in policy in every state, as well as in the federal arena.

The good news is that we outnumber those who want to keep using animals for consumptive purposes and we can be louder — if we can build a true movement.

Ultimately, to achieve lasting, systemic change, it is not enough just to change a few policies. We need to shift the underlying system of stories that help people make sense of the world.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of our donors and for people like you, who share our vision of a just and democratic future for wildlife. If you would like to support us in our work, please consider donating.
