Who We Are
Wildlife for All was launched in 2021 when an existing nonprofit organization, the Southwest Environmental Center, changed its name and mission to focus on the critically important need to transform state wildlife management.
After 30 years of wildlife advocacy in the Southwest on issues ranging from Mexican wolf recovery to ending coyote killing contests to banning trapping, we realized that all of these issues, as important as they are, were symptoms of a much larger problem with state wildlife governance–i.e. who and how decisions about wildlife get made. And we realized that this was a problem in every state that needed to be addressed through a coordinated national effort. Nobody was leading that effort, so we decided to answer the challenge.
And so, Wildlife for All was born.
