Illinois Natural Resources Advisory Board

The Illinois Natural Resources Advisory Board operates in an advisory capacity. “The Board is statutorily created to advise the agency on long-range policies to assist in guiding the protection and conservation of renewable resources of the state and recommend changes in hunting and trapping seasons and bag or possession limits. They also recommend to the Director which projects receive funding in the bike, boat, and Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant programs.”

There are 13 board members, appointed by the Governor for 6 year terms. At least one member must be 60 years or older. As of mid-2021, 12 seats are occupied by men.
