November 2024 Newsletter
Wildlife for All’s mission has never been more critical than it is today and the next four years. With the clear and present danger of federal attacks on our wildlife and lands, strong grassroots action for democratic reform of our state systems will be the key to addressing the polycrisis presented by climate change, mass extinction and erosion of democracy.
We knew all along that regardless of who won, we would need to fight for genuine conservation in the face of unprecedented challenges. We will need to work diligently to reform state agencies as the federal agencies work to delist wolves and grizzly bears and continue killing wildlife at the request of special interests.
While we face serious setbacks this election, with Colorado voters rejecting Proposition 127 and Florida enshrining hunting rights through Amendment 2, we remain ever more determined to organize for collective justice for all our vulnerable friends and neighbors. The outcomes of these important ballot initiatives show that wildlife policy remains a complex landscape, and they motivate us to continue working toward compassionate, fair policies that benefit both wildlife and the public.
Amidst this transition, we at Wildlife for All stand ready to engage with new leadership, agitate and resist when needed, and advocate for policies that prioritize healthy ecosystems, compassion for wildlife, and ethical wildlife management. We are committed to ensuring that state wildlife agencies are accountable and responsive to the diverse needs of people and wildlife alike.
As we organize in response to this year’s election results, I want to take a moment to thank you for supporting our mission to advocate for wildlife policy reform. Your support for our mission strengthens our ability to push for meaningful reforms that will benefit all species.
As we look toward 2025, the future of state wildlife policy has never been more critical. This year’s election will have lasting impacts, and we’re already preparing for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
Together, we’ll make sure wildlife has a voice—today, tomorrow, and forever.
For the wild,
Michelle Lute

In the Media
Last Month, Rolling Stone released an eye-opening piece, “Inside the Growing and Controversial World of Wildlife-Killing Contests.” It reveals how millions of dollars and shadowy organizations are fueling these brutal events, where countless animals are killed in the name of “competition.” Michelle and Kevin were both instrumental in informing this piece and quoted speaking out against these unethical contests.
