August 2024 Newsletter

We’re excited to share some changes within the Wildlife for All team that will help us continue our mission with even greater focus and strength.

First, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Kevin Bixby, who recently transitioned to the role of Senior Advisor. Kevin remains deeply committed to our cause, focusing on thought leadership and coalition building. His decades of advocacy and passion for wildlife have been instrumental in shaping Wildlife for All, and we’re thrilled to have him continue to guide us in this new capacity.

We’re also excited to welcome Mandy Culbertson as our new Communication Director. Mandy brings a wealth of experience in strategic communications and a deep love for wildlife advocacy. She’ll spearhead our efforts to amplify our messaging and reach.

With these changes, we’re more equipped than ever to drive forward our mission. Stay tuned for exciting updates and initiatives from our team!

What We’ve Been Up To

We recently had a fantastic turnout for our Sierra Club presentation and discussion in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Michelle led an insightful conversation on the future of wildlife management in the state.

New Mexico is home to diverse species, yet only a few receive protection under the federal Endangered Species Act, and state attention primarily focuses on “game and fish” species. This discussion addressed the broader crises of mass extinction and climate change facing wildlife. Dr. Lute highlighted the need for reform in wildlife management, advocating for a more ecological, democratic, and compassionate approach.

Hosted by the Sierra Club Rio Grande Chapter, this event was a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusive dialogue and community involvement in shaping the future of our natural world.

Thank you to everyone who joined us! If you missed it, stay tuned for more opportunities to engage with us on these critical issues.
